we finally got Zain's "circ" done today. He's doing pretty well, but very clingy. I'm letting him sleep on my belly for now. poor little guy. at least it's done.

Do they not do it before they leave the hospital anymore.
The pediatrician wanted to wait until he had normal blood count levels and the jaundice and bruises were all gone. The doctor that did the "service" said that he would be easier to take care of after it was done because Zain is a . . . bigger baby. (Again, I could tell he wanted to say, HUGE, but chose another term...)
I wasn't so sure the day it was done, but it seems nearly healed, and doesn't seem to bother him anymore.
It's weird having a boy, and being given these decisions to make - I feel more understanding of father's who have daughters now, though. It's tough.
Zain has outgrown the hand-me-down pajamas Ezri wore until she was over 3 months old. I should post comparison shot of them in the same outfits. It's pretty funny. Ezri, with her little elfish features, and big brown eyes ... then baby Zain stretching out of the pj's, still with the newborn blue-gray eyes, and caveman scowl...
